Yeah, I know Ashley and Gwyneth have been wearing theirs all summer, but it's been too hot to think about how blazers are changing. They have become more menswear inspired, longer and oversized, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. That's because I am too in love with my cropped jackets and swing coats, which I will continue to wear and own. I do own some "boyfriend blazers" that go with pant suits, but up to this point, I have only pulled them out of my closet for interviews. If you also own longer blazers from suits, begin experimenting with them this fall. Try them with pants, skirts and jeans alike, or over a dress to add a touch of feminism. Or, don't try them at all, and stick with what makes you feel comfortable and stylish.

Wasn't this a look that was all over the place in the '90s? At least that's how I remember it. Honestly, I don't think it's a very flattering look ... kind of shapeless and too long. I like the way Charlize is wearing hers, though -- that's pretty funky and cool.
I have nothing but love for the blazer. It's just a fantastic piece of clothing! I love to see boyfriend blazers paired with feminine or sexy outfits. The contrast is always really striking!
Not sure if I love it-looks androgynous. You would have to put it with something pretty and lots of jewelry.
90's is coming back in a big way. i think it's the economy.
I like that your blog just informs us of what's going on, but doesn't make you feel like you have to buy into it. That is refreshing!
