On the Fall 2008 runway, Givenchy (photo coutesy of style.com) showed us lots of ruffles, carrying on the ladylike tradition the brand has become known for. How do we as regular folks interpret this? By taking their lead, making ruffles a focal point of an outfit, paired down with sleek pants, skirts and jackets. The ruffles we are seeing this fall, balance out the menswear influences that are present, and definitely add a feminie touch.
The coral ruffle blouse for $44.00, the floral ruffle blouse, for $46.00 and the jacket, on sale now for $9.99 are all from Ann Taylor Loft. The ruffled vest for $34.50 is from Delias.

Prefer to wear your ruffles in a more casual fashion? The Blowfish Harp Sneakers are $54.50 from Delias. The ruffle hoodie is on sale for $19.97 from NY and Company.

I think the only thing I could pull off is the ruffled shoes. I'm thinking all the ruffles around my neck or front would be a bit 'woa!'
I like the vest and the jacket- great additions to my wardrobe this fall
I love ruffles because they're quintessentially feminine, but worn the right way they can be fashion forward too. I always have to take care, though, because they can SO easily go from pretty to OTT. I like the idea of ruffled accessories like shoes and handbags, as long as they're in a solid shade.
The coral ruffle is pretty! I think I need to shop for a few more ruffles, they are so flattering right now.
I love the pink hoodie- I can see me buying it and wearing it!
dusty pink shirt is absolutely gorgeous. Givenchy? hmmm cool
I really love ruffles! The orange blouse and the vest are lovely!
Thanks so much for your comment sweetie! I've decided to leave the shoes as they are and I've added you to my blogroll too! Take care :)
