The Nose Knows: What frangrances do you like?

My fragrance preferences always change with time. There was a time I wore Beautiful by Estee Lauder, Happy by Clinique, and one named Tresor.
I also have a very sensitive nose, so some smells give me headaches and turn me off right away.

For the last year or so I've been stuck on Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. I love it and always get compliments when I wear it.

So because I love that one, I've been dying to smell her newer frangrance, Covet, but have yet to get myself to a perfume counter to try it. Anyone out there who loves SJP's Lovely, also like her Covet perfume? Is it worth it to give it a try?

So it got me thinking about what other great fragrances I am missing out on. Readers, what do you wear that you LOVE?

As far as men's fragrances go, neither my hubby nor I are in love with any colognes out there. Some make me sneeze, or are too strong, or just plain nasty.

I just bought the new GQ magazine with (sigh) Rob Pattinson on the cover (Um, have you seen the gorgeously photographed pics of him?-I may have to do a post on just that-in fact if he had a frangrance out, I'd buy it! Oh the epiphany I just had-the scent could be called "The Cullens-BITE, or BITTEN"-ok who do I call? I would like a nice cut of the profits for my idea :) Who am I kidding?-there is probably already one in the works.)

Anyway, I digress....... In GQ, I came across The One ad for Dolce & Gabbana and it stopped me short. Number one, I thought, WOW, hubba hubba, Matthew McConaughey, you sure clean up nice! And two, I wonder if it smells good.

And this one with Tom Brady makes me re-think my pre-conceived notions about Stetson!

As I began searching around for new frangrances on the www, I came across some older ads.

Remember this one from 1990 with Cindy Crawford for Halston?

And how about this absolutely lovely and classic one with Audrey Hepburn for Givenchy?

So c'mon readers- let's hear it! Tell me your favorite ladies and men's fragrances!

I don't, by habit, wear a fragrance. I have no idea why, because I love them and always pull sample strips from magazines. Love SJP's Lovely. I also wish I could get my husband to wear a fragrance because I love them on a man, but he says it's not his thing.

I LOVE fragrances but I am not by nature a girly girl. I wear Lacoste Touch of Pink or Chanel Chance and love them. When I am not wearing them, I choose Bath and Body Works Rain Kissed Leaves for a simple clean smell.
I finally talked my husband into wearing a smell. He has a Lacoste sent that we both love.
I am partial to VERY strong men's drakkar as that is a scent that reminds me of my brother who I don't see often, and Hugo Boss as it is another men's scent I love.

Not that I am scent addicted or anything. :D

I smelled Covet and like it as well as Lovely-it has more of a musky smell to it!

I have had a bottle of Aveda's scent #1 in my medicine cabinet for AGES and love it ... but have only recently started wearing it regularly. So much fun to smell that rich, spicy scent.

Oh, this is a very interesting subject....My fave perfume for the last few years have been "Light Blue" by Dolce& Gabbana for a day or Chance by Chanel for night. For men, hands down " Azzaro Chrome"!

P.S. Isn't that Cindy Crowford on the ad for the Halston?

I adore Happy! I'm afraid both my husband and I really stopped wearing fragrances when the babies came along.

Slowly, I'm getting back into the good smells world - right now I have a coconut lime body spray, I think from Bath and Body works. Simple, but it reminds me of the beach.

And thanks for the wonderful SiTS visit and comment - one Johnny Depp, coming up!

I love perfume, but just about every scent I try on ends up smelling like cat pee on me after a little while. :o( Seriously uncool. But, I guess that's just my weird biology.

I really love both Covet and Lovely, but they too "turned" on me right after I sprayed them on. That fabulous Juicy Couture fragrance did the same thing.

The only two fragrances that have really worked for me, and so I've worn them for a long time, are Happy (which I wore for my wedding!) and Pleasures by Estee Lauder ... but *only* the original versions of those scents. The others (Happy Heart, Pleasures Intense, etc.) don't like me.

I also think it's interesting how one's taste in perfumes change as the years pass!
