Yeah, I know I talked about them in the fall, but I'm still seeing them everywhere, and I still like them, to a certain degree.
I especially like them in shorts, worn by Taylor Momsen, right (but not exactly with that outfit).
Or as capris, worn by Zoe Saldana, below.
BUT, they still have the tendency to make you look bigger than you really are, like in Halle Berry's case, below.
And I dont like them very holey and ripped up, like Jessica Alba's, below.
And I definitely don't like them peg-legged at the bottom like Eva Longoria's.
SO, they have to be the right fit (just slightly baggy) the right roll (just rolled straight up once or twice or not at all).
That's alot of rights so far-and probably why I don't wear them.
BUT then Bam, I see a pair on someone and I really like them, like the ones below, on Victoria Beckham and Lisa Rinna-CUTE!
But then again they are both very thin and not my shape, so I'm back to just looking and admiring!
What are your thoughts, readers?

totally agree....V.B...looks great in hers....it was Katie Holmes...that I couldn't stand how she wore hers...>Happy SITS day
I think if I wore them as shorts, well, as any of the options, really, it would look like I took a pair of my husband's jeans and cut them off at the bottom, and that alone would give them an entirely wrong, wrong, wrong look! Out of all of the photos, I think they only looked 'right' on Victoria Beckham, and if a piece of casual clothing has that many rules for wear, I'd have to skip them. Heck, I'm probably already wearing my current jeans wrong!
:)
I think with boyfriend jeans fit is very much the key. It's way too easy to have them too baggy, too slouchy or too buldgy down there and it can totally throw everything way off. I love them, when done right, and I wear my husband's jeans to pull it off. But, my husband is only 15-20 pounds heavier than I am and only 5 inches taller and I'm not that super tall - only 5'5" and 150 lbs. I usually wear them like Lisa Rinna's wearing them, balance the slouchy on the bottom with structure on top. It's a beachy / casual / comfy sort of look but you have to find the right jeans with the right fit to get it right. So yes, I agree, there are alot of 'rights'! :)
Very hard to wear if you're not tall with long legs and very slim.
Rolling shortens your legs, see how stumpy Eva looks?
Notice how Victoria's are NOT rolled.
There is a lesson in there for us!
The look is growing on me ... but still think it's deeply unflattering on many. Also not a fan of the "destroyed" look.
I just don't get this look. At all. But then I've never tried a pair, so maybe I'd love them if I did ... which is what happened with skinny jeans.
I wore jeans almost exactly like this in the '90s (I think using a pair I "stole" from my brother), and I look back at those photos now and cringe. Which is probably why I'll pass on them now.
I wish I can be trendy! I'm so boring, I stick to boot cut pairs!

this is so funny!
Totally agree with you, I dont think it can be done unless the person is VERY thin..and it just looks messy ew
I think Lisa Rinna looks adorable. But any style that reminds me of jr. high is not something I'll be attempting to pull off anytime soon.
boyfriend shorts - no no no no no!
