Spring 2009:Boyfriend Watches

There's boyfriend everything this season: sweater, blazers and jeans, so why not watches? Really it's just about wearing jewelry that makes more of a statement and is more masculine, which fits with the menswear trend. It's a watch that has a bigger face and the band resembles a man's watch.

What do I think of it? I can take it or leave it. I like all kinds of watches, both feminine or masculine. So if I see it, like it and it's affordable, I'd buy it! I'd just be sure to mix it with something feminine!

Here are some ideas, below, if you are in the market for one:

Make sure to check out Abazias Diamonds for Bulova and Fossil watches, pictured below(to name a few), at very reasonable prices (under $100)! And of course check out their other fine jewlery. They are located on my sidebar!

The watches below are more streamlined, by Anne Klein and Fossil, for under $100 from Macys :

Looks too clunky! I would have to go with the less chunky ones you show!

I've always worn heavier watch, but I think, after seeing the less-clunky options, the watch I wear most often falsl under the less clunky version. I never even realized I was in on the boyfriend trend!

I'm with you- I can take it or leave it. I'm probably not going to spend much of my (nonexistent) accessory budget on watches, though, when I prefer earrings and necklaces as accessories anyway.

I had no idea, but I guess my 6 year old was on to something when she was wearing my husband's watch this morning.

I'm in love with the big watches that resmeble men's watches. Personally, I could really just take my boyfriends watch out for a joy ride rather than buy my own. HOWEVER, if I found one at the right price I'd scoop it up. This isn't on my must list as of right now.

Not so much on the masculine watches. Still a feminine girl over here.

Thank you for your comments on my blog yesterday!

I wore a big men's watch when I was a kid, haha. Loved it then, love it now!

I love bf watches. I actually just stole my bf's and wear it instead of buying own.
