I was on the Fashion Week Cleveland committee again this year and the week-long event is taking place this week. Last year Women's Wear Daily (the bible of fashion) came to the Black Tie Gala event and wrote about it, calling us "a regional phenomenon that's become the nation's third largest fashion week after New York and Los Angeles". That was really cool and exciting!
This past weekend one of the shows I helped out with and then wrote about on cleveland.com was called Unclothed: A Mixed Media Runway Event and the theme was Green Sustainability.
I was amazed by what some of the pieces were made out of: x-ray films, Doritos bags, garbage bags, and napkins to name a few!
I thought I'd share some of the pictures with you.
See if you can guess what these clothes are made out of before seeing the answer.
Designer Congduy Luong:
(x-ray film)
(Doritos and Trash bags)
(soda bottle tops)
Kent State professor and designer Vincent Quevedo:
(napkins and garbage bags)
Here's some of the hair and make-up. Pretty, right?

The make-up is great! The first and third one really threw me!
What creativity! I love fashion shoes that go off on ideas like that. It's amazing what people can come up with.
OH, Fashion weeks are always fun :)

Will there be more photos? :)
