As far as health & beauty products are concerned... any essentials as far as belly bump care and fighting those darn stretch marks that are looming in my future?
Stacie
Answer:
Stacie, I thought FOR SURE I would be getting stretch marks on my stomach, because my mom and sister did. I was told by my friend Deb, to start using pure shea butter, and to rub it on my belly everyday.
I did this religiously (I used the gooey clear solid kind, not the cream).....
and ya know what? NOT ONE STRETCH MARK!
On my belly that is- other areas are a different story and may have more to do with gaining and losing weight like a yo yo my whole life.
Now I am not sure if it was the cream or genetics- but I like to think it was the cream. :)
Plus I found other uses for it too-like my extremely dry hands and heels!

So, why not give it a whirl? The Palmer's line now sells Tummy Butter for mother's:
I am also going to open up the question to my readers. Readers, your help? What products or methods did you use?
AND, speaking of pregnancy and babies, this cuteness makes it all worth it!

Popping in from SITS to wish you a GREAT day.
I used AVEDA oil throughout my pregnancies. I think it was beautifying oil.
Congrats on your pregnancy! What an exciting time in your life.
Yes use the Shea Butter. I've heard it works great! I used anything I could get my hands on and luckily don't have any.
Even the Dr's commenting before C section said "Look, no stretch marks." "Yeah, shame we got to cut her."
And I'm like "Hello, I'm right here. I can still hear you."
Reply "what? We just gave you a compliment" LOL!
I wish I had used this...I have stretch marks galore on my belly. ew.
shea butter! works! LOVE the baby commercial!
my sister practically pour shea butter on herself and her stretch mark is still pretty bad. my friend told me it's all about genetic but then every little bit help. if i am ever pregnant, i will be using shea butter like crazy too.
i was all about the palmer's shea pregnancy butter! LOVED IT! worked great!!
wished i'd been more diligent about the cocoa butter...I have an obscene amount of stretch marks. ugh.
I used Aloe (Aloe 80 Organics - it has some special Aloe sorb added). I do have a few stretch marks from the first baby but they aren't bad at all.
I like that it doesn't make me feel slippery and oiled up like shea butter does.
