And here's what I want to say to Victoria: Um, hello??? I am so uncomfortable for you!
If you are coming off of your own private plane then fine, but still, how comfortable can that outfit be for you? When you sit down someone can see your goods and the heels have got to hurt after awhile(I know, there are those out there who love to wear heels and feel perfectly comfortable in them).
David, you have perfect comfy yet stylish clothes on (and plus, you are just perfect).
I was just on a five hour plane ride (really eight, when you count layovers) to San Diego and I choose to wear my softest denim and comfy flats. And I try to dress in soft layers too.
But there are variations of comfortable, I know. And I've seen some STRANGE outfits at the airport, like matchy top and bottom leopard sweat outfits and even slippers. And yes, as a society we have really let ourselves go when it comes to comfort (pajamas in the grocery store, anyone?)
So this is one topic that irks me. Dress for comfort but don't look like you're going to a sleep-over, or you're a bag lady or you're auditioning for top model!Fergie, below, looks comfortable and stylish coming off of her flight:
Kate Hudson is wearing a simple tee and jeans (which I'll assume she feels comfortable in):

Megan Fox is wearing black sweat-type pants. It looks comfy to me and I have tons of these kind of loungy clothes- but I'm not sure I'd wear them on a plane. What about you?

Readers, what do you wear on a plane?

If I looked like Miss Beckham I would wear that outfit EVERYWHERE! :) I too dress for comfort but when I do travel now it is withy my two year olds. I wouldn't wear sweats but something comfortable nonetheless.
Oh,I've seen some doozies at the airport too! If Victoria's skirt was longer, and she had on cute flats, that would be more comfy to me. Sometimes I wear skirts because they are more comfortable to sit in.
It's all about comfort for me, but nobody is going to photograph me coming off a plane! I think for Megan Fox it's a little bit about not being recognized too. It doesn't look to me like Victoria cares too much about being anonymous. In fact, she is definitely looking to be recognized in that getup. I wouldn't pay a bit of attention to Megan or Kate...but Fergie and Victoria would DEFINITELY have me jabbing whoever was with me and saying, "Ohmigosh, do you know who that is?"
I'm all about leggings and tunic tops for plane rides. Comfy for sure, but chic and stylish, too.
I just LOVE Kate Hudson! (now that I've shouted that..)
I don't think VB is ever in relax mode. She always has her professional game face on. There is no way she takes care of, or runs after her boys in the get up we see her in every day. She seems like a polished venus statue. Unreal.
hmmm it depends where i'm going after the airport...but normally comfy jeans and a cute top does the trick! no heels though...that's just crazy!
I agree w/Becky @ our sweet pea...if I had those legs, I would wear that outfit everywhere too!
I think there's a fine line between comfort and looking, um, frumpy. I'd never wear track/sweat pants of any kind out of the house (unless on the way to yoga class). For flying, it's got to be comfortable and layered but presentable. And flats or the comfiest heels I own ...
I love this post! I just got back from a trip to NYC and I wore skinny jeans, flat sandals and loose ruffle top and a cardigan. It was so comfortable. When I traveled over seas this summer, I wore leggings...no jeans for long trips, starts to cut off my circulation.
