I was invited to a preview of the final installment of the Twilight movies.
Having read all of the books and seen all of the movies, I was eager for the series conclusion.
My three reasons, in a nutshell:
THE ENDING, THE ENDING, THE ENDING!
There was a twist at the end that literally whooshed the breath out of the viewing audience. While I gasped and marveled, the audience behind me screamed, cheered, cried out, clapped, and laughed. It brought out so many emotions in a few minute sequence that I didn't even know how to arrange my face!
The ending scene of the movie is a moving, romantic, and sweet tribute to the series, and is sure to please Twilight fans.
The final movie was all of the things the other movies were: awkward, funny, cheesy, romantic, campy, yet somehow, to this moviegoer: SATISFYING.
*sigh*

I'm definitely seeing it, but unlike part 1, I won't wait until the DVD comes out.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this one. I'm anxious for all the vamp action. It has to be better than part 1 that was complete torture to me. Plus, I'm glad to hear it's satisfying.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about this twist ending...I think I have to go see it for myself. :)
ReplyDelete*snickers at the girls*
ReplyDeleteI have three repeated words: JEALOUS, JEALOUS, JEALOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know how me swirling in my chair in all th excitement!!!!! I can't wait to experience the ending. I, act like an old person, so I'll be attending the first viewing on Saturday morning. I'm an early riser, not a late nighter!!!
I'm excited, but I'm not going to the midnight showing. But I want to! I just started rereading the series earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! You got to see it already!
ReplyDeleteI hope to see it sometime in the next few weeks!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Christina. I've been undecided whether or not I should see it. I really did enjoy the story within the books. I'm always fearful the screenwriters will do a 360.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week!
