I'm a little grew at the temples....very depressing when you're just 30!
So, I got some blond highlights. I do it in April, so by the time it starts to grow out, I'm getting natural ones from the sun.
In the winter I use a wash out dye close to my natural color.

Something to look into...my hairdresser sold me on a color gloss by Schwarzkopf. It's a conditioning color mousse. It was only about $10 and she said it'll last all summer. I use it every 3 weeks or so (just like a normal conditioner) to soften the hightlights and re-condition my hair. I wonder if you could use it even w/o highlights...and if it would cover grey.

I am due for a dye job. I usually do it at home. The winter months I go a shade darker, which is closer to my true color. The summer months I go 2 shades lighter, cause is usually lightens from the sun anyway. So in between I'm real close to my natural color and I'm lucky I don't have alot of greys yet......

I always had bleached blond hair (yes i know not good for my hair at all) but my natural hair color is brown, recently (to save money)I just dyed my hair back to the closest color to my natural hair and just let it grow
but I should try that glaze! I heard it works great

I have a naturally odd brown shade of hair that I've been coloring a shade of auburn/red for quite some time, and I love it. Sadly, I've let it go far too long between colorings this time, so the only help for me at this point is scrounging up the money and heading to the beauty school, where, thankfully, I got a great color job on the cheap last time. It was the first time I had gone for a "real" color job. My hair...I'm clumsy and such, so trying to apply at-home color (Clairol Nice & Easy brand) on my longer hair was stressing me out, trying to get adequate, all-around color.

Anyway, long story short, I've considered the Clariol root touch up kit, but have never jumped in because I was always a bit afraid the color wouldn't quite match. Maybe I'll give it a go after I finally get my hair colored again!

I have naturally dark brown hair, and haven't gotten highlights in years (too poor). However, when the times comes to cover the greys, I imagine I'll get blonde highlights all the way!
