The Last Peep Show

That's IT. I am SO done.
If I see ONE.MORE.PEEP. in this house, leftover from Easter I'm liable to...EAT IT!

*groan*

I must rid my house of these naughty sugary treats that whisper my name when I'm not even hungry!

So here's what's on the agenda for today:

PEEPS RICE KRISPIE TREATS

15 peeps (double this recipe if you have more to get rid of)
3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
1 1/2 tbsp butter

Melt the butter in a saucepan, then the peeps (take off the burner just as they begin to meld together). Fold in the cereal and press into a pan.

**People who've made this recipe encourage you to eat them within a day or when warm, because they tends to harden more quickly than the regular recipe.

NOT A PROBLEM. O_o

That is hilarious. I'm with you on the sugar in the house. I have so much chocolate (of course, not a bad thing, but I'm trying to lose weight here). Great idea with the rice Krispie treats.

That picture was HILARIOUS. Love it. But when it comes to Peeps, I prefer to stick them in a microwave and have a Peep war. If you've never done this, I won't spoil it, but you should definitely give it a try.

All of our candy is already gone.I am not sure how it happened...not sure how a half-gallon container of Starburst jelly beans got devoured in three days...but they are gone, baby, gone!

Best picture ever.

Also, I have never thought of turning Peeps into rice crispy treats. I don't know how I've never thought of this. It's probably so genius it's beyond me. Thank you for opening my eyes.

Ha good luck with your riddance plan. My weakness are those frosted animal cracker/cookie things. A bad will disappear in record time here.

Next year I'm thinking about making Peep Sushi. Also I like to roast mine over a candle and make something I've been calling Peeps Brûlée. Mostly I use mine to make a diorama.
