I love the kites in the first picture!

You know, I don't see enough kites these days. Such a simple toy ... but beautiful, and it takes some actual skill and technique to fly them. Why don't I see them more often?

I know, Dianne. We just flew one last weekend and it was GREAT fun!

I live in a windy city, not that we've flown a kite lately. I'm not sure where our kites are. I think they might have crashed and burned at some point.

Love the first picture and the one on the beach.

You find the most beautiful pictures. We flew a kite on Monday. The joy on my guy's face was fantastic.

I have a kite in my closet; you may have just prompted me to dig it out.

The best kites have two strings, and can cut and dive. Zoom!

Lisa, thanks. You'd be surprised how much time I spend looking for them (but I love doing it, it's relaxing)!

Matt, aren't you spiffy! :D

I'm noticing a trend :). Summer time is for dreaming and floating, perfect post!

These are beautiful pictures! Makes me want to spend hours outside, and I normally hate the sun.

I used to spend entire afternoons flying kites when I was a kid. Love those memories! :)

Beautiful photos. We are getting a kite for my hubby for Father's Day this year.

I've never flown a kite before (though Mary Poppins made them look very tempting). I'll have to find one of these pretty ones and fly it this summer. :)

Ah, I have fond memories of flying box kites with my dad. Great that you took the little guy kite flying. He will remember!

What fun pictures. It's been a long time since I've flown a kite.

You made me want to find our kites and take off for the beach. We haven't flown our kites in ages.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures and reminding me of how wonderful it is to send those lovely creatures skyward.
