A Tim Burton Retrospective

Edward Scissorhands is one of my all-time favorite movies (plus, Johnny Depp stars in it). Tim Burton is pretty amazing (The Nightmare before Christimas, Beetlejuice, Sweeney Todd etc.), and he has a very distinct STYLE! Dark and mysterious- I LOVE it!

A restospective on his work will be coming to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). It runs from November 22, 2009 through April 26, 2010. I'm so there if I visit NYC during that time!

Check out this Tim Burton style photo shoot from Harper's Bazaar magazine:

PRETTY AMAZING, RIGHT?

So amazing! I thought the first photo was my favorite until I scrolled down and saw the last one! How beautifully brought to life (heh...even if they do look like death). I would love to see this exhibit. I guess I'll hold off and just wait for Alice in Wonderland to be released.

He shot those photos? I didn't realize he was a photographer too!

No, Stephanie, I think it's just a dedication to him. Although it wouldn't surprise me if he did photography--you know those creative people-seems like they can do everything!

Photo shoot is intriguing, but my daughters and Ih have made a pact, we will not see the movie, because since they were 2 I have been the voice of Max, the monsters and Mom. It has been a treasure in our home.

I now have a 6 yr old, she is oing on a field trip to see the movie, can't deprive her of that, but maybe I can erase it from hermemory with my very fierce rendition...lol
