What Can YOU Accomplish in Thirty Minutes Flat?

Lots.

Let's see: Write 500+ words. Give yourself a pedicure. Make a good dinner.

Just set your timer and try it.

We've been doing it at home on weekends.

We pick one room or MESS (like below) to clean up:
And when the timer goes off, Voila--we're all done!

It somehow makes your task seem less daunting.

AND it gives you a sense of accomplishment!

I can totally accomplish a nap in 30 minutes flat. Only I can't take the before and after photos cause I'll be sleeping. SITS stop.

It works...I could not tell there was a rug under all that to begin with....now if I could train myself to do something in 30 min.

Okay I have three sons and I never thought of this. The before and after make it that much more appealing!

Lol! Actually my evenings are broken up into 30 minute intervals. 30 minutes for exercise, 30 minutes for dinner, 30 minutes for photo stuff...the list goes on and on. Otherwise, I'd never get a thing accomplished!

That looks like my daughter's closet this a.m. My little one decided to stay up until 4am and made a huge mess while we all slept!

Good idea! Although I think I'd have to make it a smaller length of time...maybe ten minutes?

Make dinner! Yes, I can totally make dinner in 30 minutes flat - and I will be doing so tonight!

And ohmigosh I had no clue there was a rug under all those toys - it's amazing what 30 minutes can do, my love!! :)

We have that same rug in our living room. I really don't have anything else to say, except isn't it a pain to keep that rug from looking grungy?!

Good idea, I like this. I should do 30-minute segments at home too. Something I have done too when I have a big cleaning project is to tweet every time I pass the computer. This way I can track what all I've done that day, and if it's been more than 30 minutes between tweets I'll know I was either really into a task or I was still on Facebook from the last time I sat down to tweet. :)

Have an Extraordinary Day!

I do this with my writing now. And I can do about 1000 words in 35 minutes. If I don't check my email AT ALL.

Very good advice!

Hmmmm I could probably read at least 3 blogs plus comment! :P It is true tho...when you set the timer it's almost like a game!!

I try to do some of the household tasks using the method, too. Without it, there's a good chance that hours later, every room would be in worse disarray from all the projects I start halfway into the earlier task.

You know, we can all accomplish so many things, when we put our minds to it, correctamundo?

It's a great idea and I'm going to try this! I don't promise to succeed but it does seem to make it easier. Will let you know what happens...

That is so true! I mean I don't time myself but if you really give yourself time, lots of things can be done. :)
