Word(ful)less Wednesday: Angkor Wat

It's taken me awhile to get through hubby's photos.

His pictures of the ruins from Cambodia stood out most.

Angkor Wat is a temple complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city.

As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation — first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. It is the world's largest religious building. (wikipedia)

Stunning!

Oh man. These photos are amazing!

Angkor Wat has been a dream destination of mine since I was little. I don't know why, but there is something so romantic to me about these beautiful old ruins lasting for so long.

Is that tree bark hanging down in the first few pics? That place is certainly beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Is it possible for something to be so beautiful that there's pain behind it? Like the saying, I love xx so much it hurts. This is the symbol of that, to me.

Love the pictures. The last guy looks like he just had a very satisfying bathroom break. ;)

I loved Angor Wat! What a magical place. I had a wonderful guide who told me all about the history--plus his own personal story. Cambodia is fantastic. Thanks for the flashback.

Wow. Such beauty in a photo, on a screen, I can't imagine what it's like to actually stand there.

I'd be in awe, much like I am right now. Seriously, amazing.

Happy Wednesday girl!

That is freaking stunning. Those roots... Oh man. They remind me SO Much of one of the buildings in BOOK 2. I know I should be doing papers but I really want to start the next book in my trilogy. Especially after seeing such inspiring photos
