Spring Ahead?

Yesterday was the first day of Spring!

Unfortunately where I come from, that's no guarantee that the snow will disappear or that the warm temperatures will stick.

The butterflies, daffodils, and blue jays might still get blasted with Mother Nature's winter wand, reminding us what the season's are indeed all about.

And why I am so lucky to experience them all (yes, I said lucky)!

Here's what Spring looks like to me:

I love the thought of spring sunshine and the plants coming up in the garden. And finally being able to shed some of those thick layers of clothes. For me, the first day of spring means some of those things are coming soon (even if they're not her yet).

I love all the seasons! I live for that first snow, that first pedicure, the first sighting of all things pumpkin-flavored, the first crocus. I heart New England <3 (most days!)

Love the chick picture. Too cute.

Okay, I want to look like that model. Heck, I just want to wear that outfit. But since it snowed here last night . . . . :P

I love being born in the spring. It's all about beginnings.

Haha! The chickee picture made me laugh. I live in a place where we are in perpetual spring mode for the most part. Things bloom year round, however, spring is still my favorite season because our summer's are so darned hot! Plus, its such a fun, flirty, season and a new beginning. What I love most...longer days. That's my spring :) I love that yellow skirt I must have it!

We started spring with 7.6 inches of rain in 24 hours. It was awesome! I should have taken a picture of my daughter who HAD to play in the mud :)

Yesterday my oldest was asking why isn't it warm yet. "It's supposed to Spring!" she said. haha.

I love those shoes!

Barefeet and the great "should I buy one of those crappy little above ground pools?" debate shall begin again! I love spring. And summer. And any weather where I don't have to wear shoes and coats and flowers are everywhere! Lovely.

Ooh, I love the pictures. Spring, for me, is paddling in a shallow stream, or taking my shoes off and walking through the grass. :)

Early spring here in Pennsylvania (okay, late spring too) can range from sunny days in the 70's to 12-inch snowfall. I know it snowed on April 1, 1997 and caused our school district to call a snow day.

I can date this exactly, because in spite of the snow, I had to leave the house. My husband took me to the hospital because my water broke.

Of course, the April Fool's joke was on me because the baby wasn't born till the next day -- but it was, in fact, snowing!

Yes, the first day of Spring is often in name only!

Oh these pictures are fabulous! my favorites, the yellow skirt and the boots off to the side with the feet in the water. SIgh. My first day of spring was nice...it was warm enough that taking my animals out for a walk didn't feel like slitting my own wrists ( i know I'm a drama queen). But winter hasn't released us yet!!

I have never seen that one with the little chick hatching. I think I need this to hang on my wall. So funny!
