And right now all I want to do is retreat to a place that feels comfortable and familiar.
Into a world filled with things I love: some mystery, splashes of suspense, lots of romance, sprinkles of supernatural, and words. Just WORDS.
So I invite you into my secret garden. It contains the TREE of BOOKS, and it's branches hold all of the books every written:
Gently pluck a book down, sit in a quiet spot in the shade, and retreat into a magical world with me.
What book would you choose?
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
Such a concise yet soft post. Love it. Can't think of any other book but Pride & Prejudice. Enjoy your weekend.
I'm having a hard time choosing from my own TBR pile, never mind every book ever written! I would never want to leave that tree if it really existed :)
I love this. I always go back to Till We Have Faces by CS Lewis, but this weekend I'm excited to read a new book written by a new friend.
I'm with Gina. I can't decide. I have so many books I want to read (that I own) and so many I want to re-read. And never mind the ones I want to read and don't have yet.
What I need to do is give up writing and just read. #asifthatwilleverhappen ;)
Tree of Books. There are so many to choose from. I am reading a Robert B. Parker book, it must have been written just before he died. I also picked up another Stephanie Meyer book, The Host, and then I have a stack of others to get through as well.
I loved the image of plucking a book from the tree.
I would select Katherine Paterson's The Great Gilly Hopkins. Gilly changes so much in the story, despite the fact that life doesn't deliver exactly what she expects. So many lessons to learn in the course of a few hundred pages. A timeless MG, with lessons for every reader.
I'll be reading all weekend!
Yay for books! Sounds like a good summery thing to do. :)
What a beautiful tree! I wish I could read this weekend, but I've got to revise...grr.
What a beautiful tree!! Sigh. :)
Right now, I would pick HP7 simply because I want to refresh my memory before I see the movie. And because I am so out of it I have no idea what is good. I hear The Hunger Games is a good series. ;)
Too many books to choose from for me. I own to many that stare at me waiting to be read.
HAve a wonderful weekend!
