Metamorphosis

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

(Maya Angelou)

In our writing, that's why Betas, CP's, and revisions are so important, no?

YES, YES, YES! :D

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYONE!

Great quote. Happy weekend to you, too. Saw HP and it was fantastic. Hope you get to go soon.

What a lovely reminder post. Thank goodness for beta readers. I'm still a caterpillar who's holding out hope.

Oh, yes! The metamorphosis of revision is a wonderful thing! In fact, I haven't read my published book since it went into print, because I can't bear to see things that I might like to change -- and can't. I've heard other authors say the same thing, so at least I know I'm not nuts ...

Lovely, quote (so true) and photos.

Here's another quote for you:
Happiness consists in activity. It is a running stream, not a stagnant pool.
-John Mason Good (writer 1764-1827)

You have a wonderful weekend as well!!

I understand the analogy, but Betas and CP's...not so much, but I'm not an author. ;)

Blueviolet--sorry, talking in code again (doesn't ever profession have that?). Beta Readers and Critique Partners (CP's) are other writers who offer critique on your work!!

I totally agree! And that second picture is BEAUTIFUL. In a holy-cow-I-can't-believe-how-beautiful-that-is kind of way.
