The Hammering in My Heart

This week I'm a busy little bee doing the other half of what I love.

It's still about creating words (or just letters). But it's other people's word I'm creating, or rather, hammering, into pieces of metal.
I've owned my hand-stamped jewelry business for over three years now and this is my busy season.

And I truly love it!

So, to my tags-n-stones customers, I've put on end date on my website for guaranteed Christmas delivery and that date is a week from today! ^_^

In the meantime, check out what I've been working on for local businesses around here (these are not on my site, yet).

 It's a picture frame necklace.

The sample below is one I made for Elana Johnson's book launch. Do you recognize the butterfly from her POSSESSION book cover? The other side shows her name!

Making mementos for other people is the BEST part! And hopefully it makes them smile.

What's happening on your end?

You have many talents Christina.

Couldn't you share just one to a talent deprived individual?

I love the picture frame necklace! And what a great idea to use book covers, a great way for an author to carry around a piece of their hard work every day. Lovely!

Ooh! I like that! Very cool. I am working on and hoping to finish: transforming an old spice rack into a nail polish holder. I found the idea on Pinterest.

What a gorgeous tribute to Elana! Jewelry-making must be such a nice counterpart to writing.
