From My Bookshelf

I haven't done this in weeks and need to catch this series up! ^_^

I'm only spotlighting books that I haven't mentioned in more recent posts.

Most recent YA Novels I've read and would RECOMMEND:

THE NEAR WITCH

POSSESS

DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE

What are you reading--any of these? There are so many (too many) in my TBR pile!

This post was part of Sheri's weekly MEME:

LOL You already know which ones I've read. I have Smoke and Bones (I borrowed it from a friend), but haven't read it yet.

I'm with you, Christina. My TBR pile is too tall. Next up for me (after I finish reading Afterlife by Claudia Gray) is Cracked. Yep, it skipped to the top of the pile.:D Then it's back to reading the books I bought in 2010 and haven't read yet.

These are all fabulous YA books, Christine. I still need to read most of them, though. My TBR list is huge.
Love this YATT post!!

Some of these have been on my TBR list. I so wish I had more time to read. I only read a few books a month!
Such beautiful covers, too.
Thanks for the recommendations!

I don't generally read YA, but it looks like the genre has lots of great stories going on right now!

I just started When a Monster Calls. Then I am on to The Fault in Our Stars and then Scorpio Races. (Yes, the stack is wobbling.)

Oh, I wish I had more time for reading! I started reading the biography of Frida Kahlo and then it came to a screeching hault around the holdiays. Haven't been able to jump back in since :o/

SO many books in my TBR list! I feel like I'll never get to them all with this pesky job crap and all the obligation crap...why can't people understand? I just want to read! (and write;) Great list of books.

I just read Miss Peregrine's school for Peculiar Children and A fault in our stars. They were both good, but I loved the John Green book.

I have a few of the books you have listed, now I just need to read them.

There is only a dude on one of those covers, and only so the girl has something to lean on.

Matt, what are you saying? You know that “GIRLS RULE AND BOYS DROOL”, don’t ‘cha? O_o

But to your point, all those books have girl protagonists (except for ANNA, but she’s a kick ass ghost) and the boy on LOLA’S cover is Cricket and he is... “le sigh”. :D

So are you saying you wouldn't read books with female covers or that guys are under-represented on them (THAT would be an interesting discussion)? I'm emailing you!

Looks like you are busy busy. I am terrible about doing updates like this. My Shelfari widget has displayed the same books for more than a year now--maybe I am just the slowest reader ever.

None of the above. Seriously. I am happy with the little changes I have already made thus far. Reading is one I would like to add back into my life!
