When I heard that it surpassed The Lord of the Rings (!!!) at the box office I knew I HAD TO see it!
Cinematically it was spectacular. I wanted to live on Pandora, be blue, have a tail and a magical braid that plugged into creatures.
The special effects were out of this world (no pun intended). The gorgeous colors and the floating mountains. WOW!
But the story-line was less spectacular and a little predictable. And it ran looong (2 hours and 40 minutes)! Even still I rooted for the good guys and the Navi people. And of course, for the love story!

The boyfriend and I remain the two people who did not enjoy this film. I did enjoy the lit-up plants, though. Very pretty. Haha
We saw it this weekend too and just LOVED it!

the movie was great and well put together. i agree the movie was long but the cinematography was amazing! the floating mountains are so very cooool.
oh I loved it! I saw it last week and it was amazing!
was it so wrong to think that in the 2 hour 40 min time span I really wanted to see a hardcore love scene between those two haha
he is so hot! even as a big blue person!

You are right, the story line is okay but I like me one of those flying dragons please.
I hear all wonderful things about the look of this movie - more than the story - but I just not sure it's for me. Maybe it's because I'm not sure I could sit still and not have to go to the bathroom five times in nearly three hours!
This definitely sounds like a movie that needs to be seen in a theater! Hope to see you tomorrow night!
I LOVED this movie. By far, one of my faves. Who thinks up blue people with plugged in braids? Love it!

Ive been wanting to see this badly after hearing how good it was. HOWEVER- I could never sit for 2 hours and 40 mins. Id go nuts!
Ill have to wait till it comes out on DVD lol

Hi Sitsa! I agree the story-line was a bit tired... which was so disappointing considering all the effort put into the dynamic aspects of the Navi civilization! Worth it though, in my opinion!
