A Little Peek...

...into our week in Sarasota.
The weather was mostly in the 60's but that didn't stop us Northerners from going to the beach :-)

We visit my in-laws once or twice a year, and stay right on the beach. It is so pretty and peaceful.

This year we took a day trip to Disney World and one five-year-old I happen to know loved it so much, he is hoping we go every time we visit Nana and Papa.

We also shopped and ate on St. Armand's Circle, ALOT:
And collected tons of shells (and looked for dead fish, dolphins, and jelly fish):
We made sure our favorite stretchy blue lizard friend had fun too, riding the waves, on a leaf boat:
A certain excited little boy held Papa's hand while trying to get a good look at the Disney Castle:
But we also built sand castles (blue lizard makes an appearance again):
And buried feet in the sand:
Or sat, dreamily, taking in the view:

Another GREAT trip!

Stopping by from SITS. Your pictures are amazing. They make me miss the beach and Disney. I long for sunny skies. Michigan is turning the corner. Sunny skies ahead. Thanks for letting me visit your vacation too.

It sounds fantastic! We're so close to Orlando that we keep thinking we'll take the boys, but they're only 2 and 4 so I'm not sure how much fun it would be for them.

It's beautiful down here right now, isn't it?! Enjoy your time.... Keep your toes in the sand as long as possible. That lizard is cracking me up, Where's Waldo?!

So glad you had a fabulous vacation! Disney World is like reaching Mecca for little kids! I took my brother about 3 years ago (he was 9), and he was so excited! Just seeing them wide-eyed and happy is worth the expensive ticket passes, long lines and constant walking ;0)

Nisa, we purposely waited for just that reason. We wondered if under five was worth it too! I'm not sure I think it is.

I'm homesick. I grew up in the Tampa Bay area and this makes me want to hop a flight. Glad you had fun!

First off, the name of the place sounds magical. :) And secondly, the photos make me ache for my grandparents' place in the country. :)
