Wordless (or Wordful) Wednesday

The thing about fall soccer is, they play rain or shine!

So in the midst of a downpour on Saturday, I left hubby near the soccer field and took my dog, Reilly, for a walk on the path behind the field.

The canopy of the trees provided shelter (mostly). It was quiet, peaceful and... enchanting, really. Like our own secret hiding spot.

This was our view:

Magical!

We have places like that near us. Water and trees make any place magical. Especially when you add fall colors to the mix. :D

Wow! I love rainforesty environments like that! I know a lot of people prefer the sea, but I'm a mountains gal. The sounds of chirping birds, running water, and the slight chill of the moist air. Perfect!

I can relate. We have areas like that too near our home as well as the soccer fields. I love that you took the time to take the dog for a walk. I need to do that more often. ";-)

I think I'd go and hide there even if there wasn't a soccer game going on. So tranquil!

Gorgeous pictures. Perfect setting for a dog walk too! Pickles would have loved this. Albeit I'd end up in the water with her...that's just her personality.(Hugs)Indigo

Sounds like a great escape!! That's what I miss about living in the suburbs, the gorgeous trees and scenic views!

Gorgeous pictures. That's what I love about living about 30 minutes away from Sherwood Forest -- I get to go from the city to the woods. I never see Robin Hood though. lol

Beautiful! Yeah, I noticed that last year when my stepdaughter was cheerleading for a football team. Those kids are out there in the mud...and devoted parents learn to deal with it. One couple even had a portable shelter!

Those places truly do look magical; and they're even more beautiful in the fall.

How beautiful. I light rain can be so lovely.

We had rain the last three days, but it didn't look as nice. The world was gray. I hope today the sun shines again.

That's a pretty nice view. I thought of you this morning. The KFC sandwich without bread is coming to Canada for a limited time. I hope you didn't actually have too many of them. Did you know they have 1,700 mg of salt. Crazy.
