The Five Senses of Autumn: TOUCH

My other five senses posts are here: Sight, SoundSmell and Taste.

1. The brittle crunch of leaves, falling in droves from treetops and crumbling beneath our feet.

2. Soft knits taut against our neck, to block the crisp kiss of autumn's air and the whisper of winters to come.

3. Smooth and cool to the touch are our fall staples: chestnuts, buckeyes, apples, pumpkins, squash and cranberries.

That will do it for my autumn posts--just in time for snowflakes to fall in their steadier rhythm.

Look for my winter posts to come. Enjoy your Monday!

I love the perfect pictures you choose for these posts.

Lovely post--but amazing how subjective sensory input/perception can be. The idea of anything, even a soft knit, wrapped around my neck makes me want to scream! But that's just me.

My favorite here is the scarf. Love them, fall and winter too, a great fashion touch.

Lovely photos, and a nice conclusion to your senses posts.

Well done. At our local parks, the kids and I try to catch falling leaves for points. We quickly realize that it is much harder than it looks with even a little wind.

OMG! I can't remember if it was Friday or Saturday, the news anchor actually said he was ready for SPRING!!! Girl, I wanted to climb through my TV and smack him. I am eating this weather up. Perfect for blankets and books!

I want that scarf! It looks so comfortable. Yay for cooler weather!

That scarf looks incredibly soft. I had a similar one in dark gray and I loved it! Until I left it at a restaurant never to be seen again.

I"ll need a scarf soon!!
