Five Senses Of Summer: TOUCH

My other Summer Five Senses posts are here: TASTE and SOUND

A wall of heat, thick and unyielding.

The refreshing tingle of the sun-kissed water, as it slides over your skin.

The gritty and cool sand, as it squishes between your toes. Unless it's the middle of  the day, then it's scorching and unrelenting!

The omnipotent feel of "touching" the sky--brilliant blue, puffy white, and filled to the brim with possibility.
*WINK*

Aah I love the feel of cool sand beneath my toes. One sand related feeling I remember though, is when the tingling of my arms and legs cause by the wind blasting sand onto me. ^_^

You just made me long for that feeling of stepping into a pool on a hot, sunny day. *sigh*

I haven't been in a pool in years (I know, pity me), but living in Texas I'm only to familiar with that feeling of heat. Although working in a cold office all day, I actually kind of like that feeling, like my skin is being roasted back to life. My car is like a mini dry sauna for about five minutes. It's a blissful feeling.

Can't stand sand! Probably why I don't go to the beach much! :)

It DOES get in every nook and cranny, DL!

I loved the images of the sand. I lived near a beach growing up. I can remember the scorching hot sand too that made you run to the water to cool your feet.

I love warm sand! Not scorching, just toasty warm. :) I also love the soothing relief of chilled aloe vera on sunburned skin.

Walking into Air Conditioned buildings is probably my favorite.

Great post per usual!
I love feeling the sand beneath my feet (but I don't like the kids bringing it in my house!)

And the warmth of the sun on my skin...
