Chirp...Tweet

Whenever spring rolls around, my obsess... er, passion for BIRDS and BIRDHOUSES emerges...

My son's room was even painted with birds on a wire (and bugs too):

My baby shower cake said, "Welcome to Our Nest".

The enclosed porch in my house is filled with birdhouses I collect and hang:
Some of my favorites:

This lopsided one says "PLEASE BE SEEDED". Love it!

Look at this pretty cake a relative made for a party:

I even have a piece of jewelry named three birds on a wire. So I don't know what took me so long to experiment with birds on my hand-stamped pieces. But soon to come, something similar to this:

Having said all of that, I still have an extreme FEAR of the classic movie THE BIRDS! ;-)

Lol...I don't collect birdhouses but when spring rolls around I'm obsessed with putting out seeds and stuff for the birds! I love just standing in my kitchen window and watching them! It's relaxing!

Love watching the birds in the spring and listening to them. I usually have my front porch done in birdhouses...but that is it.

Perhaps because the birds attack rather than being sweet and cute. However, if you have ever tried to stock a robin, which I did as a kid, they can be pretty intimidating ... to a kid.

Love your collection and your son's room.

Wow! Love your bird collection! I can totally relate to being obsessed with something and yet completely terrified of it at same time - for me it's serial killers.

OMG your baby shower cake was so cute! The cake with the bird on it, though...scares me. All I can think of is bird poop...that bird looks so realistic!

I used to collect cows, and it was from a long standing inside joke between friends. I love your obsess...passion! Haha. And the enclosed porch too.

Spring has sprung! What lovely little houses. I made new ones for my yard, this year, and there's already been a few feathered friends checking them out. Thanks for sharing.
